West Kentucky’s The Savage Radley release ‘Gone’ from upcoming debut

Something must be in the water in West Kentucky. The Savage Radley is the latest in a line of gritty, authentic country acts to emerge from that neck of the woods in ol’ Kaintuck.

“Hold tight to these hard times / The end is far away,” lead singer Otto Sharp sings in take me as I am anthem “Gone,” the first single from the band’s upcoming record Kudzu.

Sharp’s voice is sweet enough to lead a Sunday choir. Her lyrics draw heavily from a hardscrabble rural upbringing and are sharp enough to draw blood.

The music video for “Gone” finds the band soaking up Hickman, Ky. life– meandering through back roads in an old pick-up truck, jumping hay bales and making a visit to their local tackle shop.

Kudzu will drop June 30. Look for more coverage of the record, including a Q&A with the band, in the coming weeks. In the meantime take a peep at the music video for “Gone” below.
