rose hotel debuts new song ‘One Thing’ in NPR Music Tiny Desk Contest entry

Bowling Green’s rose hotel debuted a new song yesterday in a video submission for NPR Music’s Tiny Desk contest.

“One Thing,” is tinged with melancholy and builds upon the introspective, poetic trail of songs musician Jordan Reynolds has released under the moniker rose hotel.

“Fearing nothing matters anymore, observing cracks in the paint on the wall / I can’t say why this yellow paint turned to grey,” Reynolds laments, using decaying paint as a metaphor for a crumbling relationship.
